participated
in the
Partnership
Summit
2010
organised
by CII
between
22nd to
24th
January,
2010 at
Chennai
along
with
H.E. Mr.
Khalil
Bin
Abdullah
Bin
Mohammed
Al
Khonji,
Chairman,
Oman
Chamber
of
Commerce
&
Industry
and Dr.
Salem Al
Ismaily,
Chief
Executive
Officer,
OCIPED.
A five
member
Omani
business
delegates
led by
Mr.
Pankaj
Khimji,
Chairman,
Oman
India
Business
Council
also
accompanied
H.E. the
Minister
during
the
Partnership
Summit.

H.E. the
Minister
and the
accompanying
Omani
delegates
met with
H.E.
Anand
Sharma,
the
Indian
Minister
of
Commerce
and
Industry,
Govt. of
India
and
various
Ministers
from
different
countries
who had
participated
in the
partnership
summit.
H.E. the
Minister
met with
Mr. R.
Ramanujam,
Chairman
and
Managing
Director
of
Brakes
India
Limited,
Dunes
Oman
LLC,
Salalah
Free
zone Co.
who
agreed
for an
additional
investment
of USD
20
million
in Dunes
Oman LLC
to
double
its
capacity
so that
the
aluminium
castings
that are
produced
in
Salalah
could be
exported
to
prestigious
vehicles
manufactured
by Audi,
Mazda
and
Nissan.
The
Chairman
and
Managing
Director
of
Brakes
India
Limited
further
informed
that
another
sister
company
of
Brakes
India,
ABI
Oman,
plans
further
to
expand
its
activities
in
Salalah
with
additional
investments.

H.E. the
Minister
as well
as the
Omani
delegates
met with
leaders
of
Indian
Industries
and
invited
them to
come and
invest
in Oman.
H.E. the
Minister
made two
presentations
during
the
partnership
summit
one on
“GCC
India”
and the
other on
“The New
Trade
Routes:
Strengthening
the
Global
Market
Place”.
H.E.’s
speech
was well
received
by over
200
participants
at the
partnership
summit.
